Amara Primero is a screen composer and conductor.
She discovered a love for music at the tender age of 4 and this appreciation was nurtured throughout her youth with the support of her mother, teachers and mentors.
She studied at the well acclaimed Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) where she majored in classical piano before later moving to Sydney, where she stylistically developed her jazz and contemporary abilities. Postgraduate studies took form of a Graduate Diploma in Education and a Masters of Contemporary Music (Ethnomusicology). It was during this time and amidst her career as a pianist and educator that Amara found an emotional connection with film music and from here on, her desire to contribute to the world of music and motion picture began.
She currently works as a composer for TV.
